As for my work, I just paint, really. Often to get flat areas of colour you'll need at least 3 coats of paint so it's not patchy, so you just have to be patient.

I also usually start off by painting the whole canvas black, then layering on top of that - it adds a subtle depth to the colours.

Everything else is just like a colouring book - I work up my designs on paper or in PhotoShop then trace them on and paint away.

I like your animals, they're cute. Now you just need to make them evil too (at least that's what I do)!
